Vacation Home Checks - As a service to our citizens, the
Eastern Pike Regional Police Department offers free vacation house checks.
The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department will periodically check the
exterior of your home while you are away. This service helps to deter
potential burglars and provides for additional security while your house is
unoccupied.
This service is not recommended for citizens that have friends or family
that will be at the residence regularly for such things as yard work, caring
for animals or using the amenities at the residence.
If you are interested and will be on vacation for at least one week, but not
more than two weeks, you may sign up for this service by filling out a
security check form at the Police Department or you may

to print and fill out the form.
Bad Checks - In 2008 the Eastern Pike Regional Police
Department established a Community Policing Program.
This is an effort to work more closely with local business and
residences located within Westfall Township & Matamoras Borough. This
department has become aware of a problem that you as a business are well
aware of, Bad Checks.
In an
effort to help you recover funds and service charges that you have lost,
this department will now be accepting complaints of this type.
We
are going to ask that you only submit these complaints after the following
criteria have been met:
1)
No partial payments or agreements to make partial
payments have been made.
2)
The check has been returned for one of two reasons:
A)
Insufficient Funds B) Closed
Account
3)
A certified letter has been mailed to the last known
address.

4)
You have received the return receipt, and/or the
letter has been returned unclaimed.
5)
A period of ten days has passed from the time you
received the return receipt or letter back.
Once these criteria’s have been met our department will try to collect your
lost funds.
We ask that once
this has been turned over to us, you accept no payments from them. If you
accept payment, we will no longer accept these complaints from you
establishment. We ask that you cooperate with us in this regard.
Bicycle Registration - In 2010 the Eastern Pike
Regional Police Department started a voluntary bicycle registration
program to assist us in recovering stolen bicycles. Between 2008
and 2009 the department had 23 stolen bikes reported to us from
residents of Matamoras Borough and Westfall Township.
In an effort to curtail thefts and recover bicycles we implemented this
registration program. Your registration provides us with the
necessary information so that if your bike is ever stolen, we would have
a record of the serial number when you call to report the theft.
Having your serial number on hand allows us to enter your stolen bicycle
into a law enforcement database that is accessible to law enforcement
across the country.
