Safe Haven of Pike County, Inc. 3rd annual Tour de Pike County

Safe Haven of Pike County, Inc. has announced the date for their upcoming 2014 Tour de Pike County 3rd annual ride. The event will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2014 rain or shine at Milford Beach in Milford, PA. A successful cycling fundraiser for two years running, all proceeds from the event go to benefit Safe Haven, a non-profit agency that serves victims and survivors of domestic and sexual abuse in Pike County, PA. Early registration is just $35 per rider, and includes a Tech Tee for the first 100 registrations. Participants can choose from a variety of ride levels including 15, 25, 40 and 62 miles, enjoy pre and post ride refreshments with a free food court, enter a bike raffle and “Funniest Helmet” contest. There will also be fully supported SAG wagons and water stops along the course. Helmets are required of course and parking at Milford Beach is free!

8th Annual D.V. Warrior Fest

D.V. Warrior Fest - Saturday October 4, 2014

The Delaware Valley High School booster club will hold it's 8th annual D.V. Warrior Fest on Saturday October 4, 2014 from 9a.m. until 3:00p.m. The Warrior Festival is a way for the community and student body to help the DV Warriors kick off the season and promote school and community spirit. The event will feature a classic car show, warrior festival, morning and afternoon soccer, field hockey and pee-wee football games.

19th Annual Tri-State Classic 5k/10k

Tri-State Classic - Sunday October 26, 2014

The 19th Annual Tri-State Classic is scheduled for Sunday October 26, 2014 starting at 7:15a.m. at the corner of Fowler Street and Jersey Avenue. Online registration is $28.00.

Entry fees include lunch and a T-Shirt for the first 200 participants.

Tri-State Area CROP Hunger Walk - Sunday, October 19, 2014

Registration begins at 1:00 pm and steps off at 2:00pm at the Matamoras Fire Department Pavilion

Neighbors walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world. Different ages, faiths and backgrounds – together we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development, as well as local hunger-fighting. Some 2,000 communities across the country take part each year.
